Making Valentines Cookies

Today we made the most delicious cookies with our friends Liz and Baby Jack. Sophia was napping for the cutting out of the cookies but woke up in time to frost them. Jack was such a little helper as you can see. He helped roll out the cookies and then help frost them. Sophia on the other hand, well as you can see in the first picture seemed like she was going to help frost the cookies but as evident in the last picture she decided it was just better to eat the frosting. Can't say I blame her, the frosting is so good all by itself.

Birthday Party

Sophia got invited to a birthday party last night. Can you say FUN! The party was at an indoor park in Ham Lake. We had the whole place to ourselves. I don't think Sophia stopped running until we buckled her into her car seat for the ride home. Fun Times!

Art time

I know, I know it is only suppose to be ONE picture a day, but I couldn't resist. Sophia was so in to her art project! Just the beginning of her creative side I think

An old picture

Ok, so I had my first failure in the 365 days of pics. I didn't take a picture yesterday. Shame on me. But I still have an adorable picture to post. Josh took this picture after we found out we were going to have our little boy. We printed this picture and framed it, then gave it to our parents as a Christmas gift. Since we did this as their Christmas gift, it meant I had to keep it a secret, it was only a week but man was it hard. No thanks to my mom or mother-in law. I got emails from both of them stating the Top 10 reasons I should tell them before Christmas.

Taxes, Taxes, Taxes!

Josh spent a chunk of the day today getting all of our tax stuff ready to bring to the accountant this week. Hopefully we will have a nice big return waiting for us!
On a side note, I have to say I have one of the best looking husbands in the world. I love you Josh!

Valentines present

I can't post this picture until after Valentine's Day. It has to do with Josh's present. I am pretty sure he reads this so don't want to give it away. Stay tuned for this picture too.
So now that I have given Josh his Valentines present I can post this picture. We have been married almost 3 1/2 years. We have all our wedding pictures on a CD. In order to save some money I decided that I would make our own wedding album rather than order from the photographer. Well, I am saving money but the wedding album has yet to be completed. So for Valentines Day I decided to give Josh our completed wedding album. The picture is the beginning. I will admit I didn't get it finished, but I am about half way there. Maybe it will be done before we celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary.

Not for Sophia anymore....

You have our infant carrier out upstairs right now. Sophia usually walks down the stairs each morning and sees it and says "Baby, Baby Oliver" Then today she decided she was going to play the baby and this is how I found her. I couldn't resist posting a picture of Sophia as a baby in the infant seat. Sophia was only 2 days old in this picture. We had just brought her home from the hospital.

A Blessed Day!!!

I don't have the picture yet for yesterdays post. Not because it hasn't been taken because it has. Yesterday was the day my friends Ryan and Stacy May have been waiting for. Yesterday was the day that their adopted son Samuel Lee May legally became theirs. I was honored to be present in the court room when the Judge declared Samuel Lee May legally Ryan and Stacy's son. Not a dry eye in the court I must say. I pretty much started crying the moment the Judge walked out of her chambers. What a glorious day it was.
So the picture was taken with my camera but on Stacy's memory card, so I am waiting for Stacy to send me the pictures, I will post it as soon as I get it. So for now stay tuned.....

After much research....

Seriously, I did so much research and agonizing over what double stroller we should get. I learned a lesson, when you are looking at infant carriers for your first baby also be thinking about possible double strollers you might one day want. I found out our infant carrier is not compatible with a single double stroller. FRUSTRATING! Well, Josh and I finally made a decision to go with the Phil and Ted's sport stroller with a doubles kit. I am praying it will work out. Now I just have to prove to Josh that I will get my butt out on the trail and start running again this summer. I am thinking a wedding in July might be motivation!

Sophia having a precious moment!

I found Sophia sitting down holding this frame. I asked her what she was doing and she said "baby brother Oliver" ok it didn't sound totally clear like an adult would say but that is definately what she said. I told Josh that I think we might have to go with that name, if not just for the fact of how adorable Sophia sounded saying it.

Our little baby boy!

Here he is, our adorable baby boy! I am excited for him to arrive. I can't wait to hold him, see what he looks like (although I have been preparing myself that he will be a Josh look alike) I can't wait to see Sophia interact with him and take on the roll of BIG SISTER! She already loves to cuddle with him, although she is just cuddling with my big belly! Sweetness.

Brush, Brush, Brush

Sophia LOVES and I mean LOVES to brush her teeth. She could do it for hours. I know a dentists dream right. Hope it sticks with her as she gets older. Maybe we will even be lucky enough to skip braces.
